Bandi Chhor Divas is also known as “The Celebration of Freedom.” On this day Guru Hargobind Sahib was released with 52 Kings from Gwalior Prison. “Bandi” means “imprisoned”, “Chhor” means “release” and “Divas” means “day” and together “Bandi Chhor Divas” means Prisoner Release Day. The annual Vaisakhi Nagar Kirtan was held on Sunday, 15th April, 2018 on the streets of Bradford. It brought together hundreds of members of the Sikh community.
